Fireflies lit up as they danced across the yard, candles softly flicked on the porch, the happy babble of water spilled over in the man (husband) made pond as the peace of night fall enveloped me in its cocoon. I gave God praise for the small things that brings a weary soul peace….
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 NLT

So serene and so peaceful. I love to see the fireflies at night. They are not so plentiful here as when I was a child, but I saw one the other evening.

Your post gave this weary soul peace as I read it and saw your beautiful photo. We do not have fireflies here in MT, and that is one of the things I miss, but He has given us so much to enjoy here that I do not complain! The Isaiah verse is one of my favories. I hope you have a restful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis was so lovely...I could just see this peaceful place....
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming over and meeting us, Linda.
ReplyDeleteSuch a serene and peaceful picture you paint. We do not have fireflies here, and it would be delightful to see them as you give thanks by your pond in the evening.
Have a Blessed week. Jan
So comforting.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that true...just the everyday blessings we so often take for granted. Nice.
