Pray for our nation, pray for our president, pray for our government leaders! Why should we pray? Because God tells us to do so…
The Message translation says it like this: “The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live. He wants not only us but everyone saved, you know, everyone to get to know the truth we've learned."
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

ReplyDeleteAmen...so true!
ReplyDeleteOur country needs to be completely turned around. At one time we were "One nation under God with liberty & justice for all" but look at what we have become. I would ask all Christians to pray earnestly for our leaders & our land.
